WELCOME TO OUR FUNDRAISING PAGE!

Thank you for supporting the C2C4Charlie biking team going from Anacortes, Washington to Boston, Massachusetts this summer. This bike ride is near and dear to our hearts. It is being made in memory of our dear friends' son Charlie Read who passed away on August 15, 2016, at the age of 16 from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Charlie was a caring, loving person who was full of life and had a smile that would light up a room. His dream was to do a cross country bike ride.

His parents, Clif and Arleen Read, have decided to make the cross country ride with many friends and family joining along the way as a fund raising opportunity for the SUDEP Institute, part of the Epilepsy Foundation. SUDEP takes the lives of an estimated 3000 young people in the US yearly and devastates their loved ones.

To help support this cause we are planning to join Clif and Arleen for the state of New York to Shutesbury, Ma. portion of the trip in August. Laren will be biking and Steve will be driving the support vehicle. Clif and Arleen have a fundraising goal of $10,000. Any support you can give is very much appreciated.

All donations to our team’s efforts will go to support the SUDEP Institute of the Epilepsy Foundation, which

  • Carries out SUDEP Education and Awareness programs for people touched by epilepsy and for medical professionals.
  • Drives and supports research into the causes of and ways to prevent SUDEP.
  • Offers a support network providing counseling, community, and resources for individuals and families affected by SUDEP.
  • Works together with many epilepsy organizations to find the answers to SUDEP and help families with epilepsy.

Please support this cause by making a safe and secure donation to our fundraising webpage.
