WedbushCares is pleased to announce our support for Team Aubrey in the 2020 Walk to End Epilepsy. In keeping up with tradition, we want to honor Earl Feldhorn’s legacy and support a great cause that he was very involved in.
Our colleague Christina Filihart's granddaughter, Aubrey, at the age of 3 was diagnosed last year with Doose (pronounced Doo-say) syndrome, a form of epilepsy that impacts a small percentage of children diagnosed with epilepsy. This syndrome is medication resistant and seizures occur daily, often multiple times a day. She is a happy, loving, and active girl. Seizures impact her development and affect learning.
Epilepsy is the most common serious brain disorder worldwide with no age, racial, social class, national nor geographic boundaries. Seizures steal moments and memories, can change lives, impact development, affect learning and can even result in death. There is no cure.
