The lotus flower, has a wealth of meaning and history behind it. The lotus flower blooms on the surface of water with its roots deep in the mud – a symbol of light and emergence from darkness. The lotus blossom represents the heart opening and is often compared to the unfolding of what is divine within you. It is a perfect reflection of new beginnings, purity and enlightenment.

I am raising funds to make a difference in the lives of people living with epilepsy. The mission of the Epilepsy Foundation is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

My Story.  One in 26 people will develop epilepsy in there lifetime.  For me, that "one" was my son.  So I took it upon myself to not only help him, but to try and help the 3 million others in the U.S. alone living with the challenges of epilepsy.  As many of you know I work for the Epilepsy Foundation.  As I work to create a variety of opportunities for you to participate to raise funds and awareness for Athletes vs Epilepsy in support of those living with epilepsy, I must remind myself to participate in one myself!  So I have created Yoga for a Cause!

Here is what I need you to do:  (choose one or all)

  • Donate to my fundraising page (it's safe and secure);
  • Create your own Yoga for a Cause event (visit ) to learn how easy it is; or
  • Join me on January 21st at CorePower Yoga - Oak Park Studio, IL (see the details on the flyer.)

 Thank you for your help and support
