This is our 9th year participating in the walk and it is amazing to see how the walk grows each year, which means more support and more awareness about epilepsy.
Sun (and our family) have been living with epilepsy now for almost 13 years. Its become a part of our lives so if you haven't heard our story please ask. If you know us, you know that this walk means a lot to us, and this year we are looking forward to walking with the newest addition to our family, Bradley Kyung Soo Park. Bradley's korean middle name was chosen in honor of our dear friend, Soomin, who passed away from epilepsy 2 years ago. We walk each year for people like Sun and Soomin and their caregivers who live with epilepsy.
So how can you help? There are several ways!
(1) Share our story with others. Increasing awareness about epilepsy is critical to the fight to find a cure and for helping people who live with epilepsy.
(2) Walk with us. Looking for a weekend getaway? Come down to DC and walk with us on Saturday morning and enjoy the rest of the weekend in DC. Or walk virtually in your local area.
(3) Support us financially. Make an online donation to support our team. If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter! Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page! All donations are tax deductible and are used towards education and advocacy programs and research.
Thanks so much for your generosity and support.
